A night with my wonderful boys:
1:00 AM: Owen crawls into bed with us. I'm barely awake and only half aware that he has done so.
3:00? AM: Owen falls out of our bed onto the floor. I may or may not have been the cause of this, as he was laying on the outside edge next to me.
4:15 AM: I finally get Owen settled back in his own bed after he tosses and turns in ours for an hour trying to go back to sleep.
4:30 AM: Ben wakes up. Isn't fussing himself back to sleep. Have to go in to him.
5:10 AM: I get sick of trying to rock a wide-awake Ben back to sleep and put him in his crib so he can put himself to sleep.
5:20 AM: After laying awake talking and playing for ten minutes, Ben starts to cry. I let him.
5:30 AM: Daddio's alarm goes off. Ben is still crying. Daddio brings him into our room so I can, hopefully, get him to sleep.
6:05 AM: No luck. Sick of trying to put Ben to sleep in our room. Put him back in his crib, crying.
6:20 AM: Owen crawls into our bed. Ben is still crying. I let him.
6:30 AM: Owen has fallen back to sleep. Sick of listening to Ben cry. Go in his room and try to rock him back to sleep.
6:50 AM: Finally get Ben back to sleep and go downstairs to sleep on the couch so I don't disturb Owen.
8:00 AM: Owen wakes up and comes downstairs looking for me. He wants to read his library books to me. I fall back to sleep.
8:30 AM: Ben wakes up. Owen tries shaking me awake. "Mommy, wake up. Wake UP, Mommy!"
8:45 AM: Mommy wakes up. Our day finally starts.
It is now 11:00 AM. We finished breakfast 30 minutes ago. No one is dressed yet. Laundry has not been started. Cookies have not been started. But the boys are playing happily together, so I'm okay with that.
