RTT: 100 Posts Later....

It's another Random Tuesday Thoughts hosted by Keely over at The Un Mom!

It's official! This is my 100th post! I wanted to do an extra special post in celebration, but really, who has time for that? Or the motivation. So this will have to suffice. What would have been really nice is if I had acquired 100 followers by my 100th post, but as it stands, I still only have 20. 20 brave souls who are following me publicly, that is. I like to believe that I have 100 anonymous followers out there. :-) But thank you to those of you who are still with me, 100 posts later! (OBG, SMW, and Laura were my first three followers! And an extra thanks to Laura for being my first non-family member follower).

Okay, I have to say what I'm sure all ladies around the world are thinking. Thank you Charlie Sheen for enlightening us all on what we have obviously been missing out on for years! I think it's time to update our checklist for the "Perfect Man" and add "tiger blood" and "Adonis DNA" to the list. Who knew that these things even existed? No wonder so many women have been unlucky in love! We've been looking for the wrong thing! (Seriously, how many men do you think are going to start adding "tiger blood" and "Adonis DNA" to their profiles on dating websites? My guess? Thousands).

I swear, no sooner do I put out a new roll of toilet paper, then two days later, it's empty. Who is using all of this toilet paper? I know it's not the boys. It's time to hunt down the TP monster. He must be hanging out with the sock monster and the hiney monster.

The TP monster strikes again? No, that's just Ben.

One of my favorite "newbie" actors from LOST has finally resurfaced again on television! Jeremy Davies (who played the time-traveling Daniel Faraday) has been guest starring on an FX show called Justified. (Starring Timothy Olyphant). It's refreshing to see that all of his little quirks and idiosyncrasies that came through in Faraday remain in his new character, Dickie Bennett:

A little fun fact. Jeremy Davies was born Jeremy Davies Boring! I don't blame him one bit for dropping that surname!

Sometimes I forget that I have put one of the boys in Time Out. I don't do it intentionally, but if I have to place them there while I'm in the middle of doing something, like cooking dinner, it's not uncommon to hear Owen calling to me 5-10 minutes later, "Mom! Can I get up yet?" Oops. I also forget to look at the clock to time how long they've been in there. (They "earn" 1 minute per year of age). Ben will eventually get up on his own, as I'm lucky if he even lasts his full minute in Time Out, but Owen will sit there until someone tells him that his Time Out is over. It's a good thing he doesn't know how to tell time yet!

I have started watching American Idol again. I used to watch it in the earlier seasons, starting with Season 2 and ending with Season 6. But then I lost interest, in the show and in the contestants. I have always hated watching any part of the early audition process as it drives me nuts to know that producers only put some of those poor souls through for entertainment value. And then I grew annoyed with how much focus was on the judges, specifically the tiffs between Ryan and Simon and the uncomfortable flirtations between Simon and Paula. Daddio continued to watch a few episodes here and there and I happened to be in the living room last week when the Top 24 were competing. (Mainly because Glee wasn't on, thanks to AI). I actually found myself enjoying the show a little more, especially the judges. Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are a lot more tolerable to watch, in my opinion anyway.

Spring is in the air! Or so I like to imagine. It doesn't help that we received several more inches of snow yesterday. But spring has arrived in the clothing stores. I have started several dream wishlists of some of my favorite spring items. Some for work. Some for play. Again, I say dream items because most are out of my budget (which is currently nothing). But you can check them out here, here, and here if you are so inclined. There will be more to come, so feel free to follow me at my other blog to keep yourself updated. :-) (Yes, that was me shamelessly forcing myself upon you all in an attempt to acquire more followers).

 Happy Tuesday, everyone!

  1. I have tow boys too. I'm hopelessly outnumbered. And there are days when I wonder where the toilet paper goes too. Although the empty rolls can pile up--because it's way to much trouble to put them in the garbage can that's right there.
I think I'd like American Idol this year, but can't find time to watch it.

  3. @Vandy: Sometimes it's three boys as Daddio has another son who lives with us during the summer. But I know it's not the boys using all the TP b/c they are 3 and 1. And Ben has only destroyed a roll once. (As seen above).

@Heavenly: You earn a default following as your name is also Krista.

@Kristine: Thank you! To you too!

So THAT's who that guy is on Justified! It was bugging me because he looked so familiar! Thanks for clearing that up. ;)

  8. I really don't think "tiger blood" etc in a dating profile would be a selling point for me!

  9. @Stacy: Thank you for rounding things out! Also, the guy who plays Jeremy Davies' brother (Coover?) on the show was also on LOST. He was one of Jacob's...bodyguards? (Credit goes to Daddio for helping me to make that identification though).
@OBG: I'm afraid that I would forget to set it.
    @Keely: Me neither!
